In April 2005, Autechre launched Autechre.ws, a website Autechre would use to announce new albums, as well as stream DJ mixes. On April 8, two days before the final launch of the site[1], Autechre broadcast a test transmission. Nearly all of the tracks broadcast during the test transmission were experimental in nature, along with several remixes for other artists and one alternate version of a previously released track, and nearly all remain unreleased; however a few were repurposed for use in Autechre's collaborations with the Hafler Trio.
As Sean explained in the July 2022 Twitch AMA, the tracks broadcast were simply "fuckabouts" not made with the intention of releasing them and were broadcast using Nicecast.[2]
Tracklist
The actual order of tracks in the broadcast remains unconfirmed. This list is in alphabetical order based on every track that was known to be played, as sourced from various downloadable versions.
