- Cavity Job is one of only two Autechre releases to have a title track, with the other being Gantz Graf.
- Only four releases were ever released on Hardcore Records, with Cavity Job being the second last.
- The cover of Cavity Job features a man wearing sunglasses and holding a drill, and was drawn by Dave Hanal.
