Amber is the second album by Autechre. It was originally released on November 7th, 1994 on Warp Records. It was later repressed on vinyl in 2016, alongside Incunabula, and Tri Repetae.
Sean Booth has later recounted in interviews that Amber was “genuinely the first album” they released on Warp Records, and that their previous, Incunabula, was “more of a compilation of old material”.

Trivia
- The artwork depicts the sandstone cliffs in Rose Valley, Cappadocia, Turkey, with the photograph taken by Nick Meyer[1] and artwork designed by The Designers Republic.
- Amber is the only album to have a nearly unedited photograph as the cover art. Ian Anderson noted that "the only retouching we did was at the edges, where we didn't have the full width, but there's no retouching in terms of colouration."[2]
