Trivia

  • One of the notable tracks to appear in the "Set A" material is "ecol4" from PLUS. [1]
  • In the Twitch AMA, Sean mentioned that the June 3rd, 2022 show in Barcelona was a mess, as they had to prevent Primavera from taking the rights to the soundboard. However, they messed up the recording which meant that it was left off the 2022 batch. [2]
  • The Helsinki soundboard was first released on October 4th, 2022 as "AE_LIVE_HELSINKI_110922_LTD", exclusively to attendants of the show due to issues with the sound system. Around a third into the show small glitches were starting to materialize, which then progressively became more apparent until the last third of the show was plagued with loud pops and audio dropouts. Explanation for the issues reigned in on it being due to poor subwoofers and system clock drift such that the heavy subbass in the set caused a coil short circuit in the speakers.[3][4] Due to the quick release, the soundboard was the raw recording, with no mastering.
  • In December 2022, Sean posted two max demos to Mastodon; one on the 10th and one on the 15th.It has since been confirmed to be live show patches as both appeared in the Sydney and Dublin sets.
    • In the top right corner of the 15th December demo, "three tone" is written, possibly indicating the section title.
    • Also in the 15th demo, one of the files loaded into a sampler (likely indicating a sample used in the live material) is Gap Band's "Burn Rubber On Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)"
  • The CAT number, WARP444, was likely specifically requested by Autechre, to reference the song "444" off their first album, Incunabula.
  • The hyphen added to the end of the title shows the possibility of the 2023/2024 sets being added at a later date.
  • The main cover art for AE LIVE 2022- consists of all the individual set art overlaid on top of each other.
  • Sean mentioned in the Twitch AMA that they have at least three and a half hours worth of live material for this set. [5]
