Hanalgig was first brought to the public's attention during Sean's AMA on July 5th, 2022, when WATMM user, hello spiral asked Sean whether he minded these tracks being shared. On July 23rd, the full CD was found on Soulseek, where it had been uploaded by someone under the username "pigster". It was subsequently uploaded to YouTube by Paranoidal Dyslexia, on July 24th, 2022, where Sean provided a makeshift tracklist, and answered several questions regarding the mix in a pinned comment thread.
