''LP5'' is actually an untitled album, with “LP5” simply meaning “fifth album”. This name was given by fans, after the release of ''[[EP7]]'' in 1999. Previously, ''LP5'' was referred to as “Album”, “Untitled”, or even as a self-titled album (“Autechre”). The name, “LP5”, has since gone on to become the de facto official title, with both Warp Records and the band themselves using it.
