Peel Session is the first of two live sessions EPs by Autechre released on Warp Records The tracks were debuted on John Peel's show on October 13th, 1995[1], and later released on January 11, 1999.[2]
Tracks
Milk DX
- In his July 2022 AMA, Sean said that the track name came from a Yamaha DX100 patch that sounded like the rapper Milk Dee.[3]
Inhake 2
Drane
- In the ASCAP Repertory, "Drane" has an alternate title "Drane (Sleight Return)", possibly referencing Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)." [4]
- In response to "Drane", Aphex Twin made "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball", to which Autechre responded back with "Drane2" which was released on LP5. [5]
- QuadraVerb was used for the effects. [6]
