In a 2016 RA interview, Sean mentioned that part of the motivation for the release method for Quadrange was that while making ''[[Quaristice]]'', they had an hour-long track they wanted to put out (referring to "Perlence subrange 6-36") but felt that it would not be worth the physical cost of an extra CD for one track. However, they opted instead to put it up digitally as that freed them from the hassle of both physical limitations and expectations of "album flow".<ref>{{Cite interview|page=Autechre: elseq et al, June 2016|quote=When we did Quaristice, we had an hour-long track, and we thought, "Well, there's no point adding a whole extra CD to the 'proper' album just for this one track, nobody's going to want to pay the extra money for that." Quaristice.Quadrange.ep.ae is the ninth EP by Autechre released on Warp Records. A track was released each day from May 19th, 2008,[1] before concluding on June 3rd, 2008.[2]

History
